UA Tech Park’s Ken Marcus re-appointed to AURP board
Ken Marcus, chief financial officer and director of the UA Tech Park, has been re-appointed to The Association of University Research Parks Board of Directors. He will also serve on the 2019 executive committee as treasurer for the organization.
Marcus has nearly twenty years of research park experience in operations, development and finance. He began his career with Tech Parks Arizona in September 1999 as Controller, where he was quickly promoted to his current position as chief financial officer and director of the UA Tech Park.
As a senior level executive, Marcus is directly responsible for the management, operations and financing for the UA Tech Park at Rita Road, the UA Tech Park at The Bridges, and the Arizona Center for Innovation. He has more than 30 years of experience in business management, finance, real estate and economic development. Highlights of his expertise includes financial budgeting and reporting, loan funding packages, cash management, lease negotiations, tenant retention and expansion, emergency response and disaster recovery training and plans, as well as strategic, business and financial plans.
Pima County hires new Behavioral Health Director
Pima County has appointed Paula Perrera to serve as the new director for the Behavioral Health Department. Perrera has worked with the Pima County Attorney’s Office since 2000, and served as the Supervising Attorney for the Health Law Unit since 2007.
During her tenure with the County Attorney’s Office, Perrera served as the in-house counsel for Kino Community Hospital, Pima Health Systems, Posada del Sol, and played a key role in transitioning those units to the private sector. Most recently, she also drafted and negotiated large and complex contracts, including the current correctional health services agreement with Centurion.
“In this new role, it is my goal to expand the County’s partnership with community stakeholders to elevate the discussion, programming, and parity of behavioral health issues to make Pima County a national leader in the field,” Perrera said.
The Behavioral Health Department manages the provision of health and behavioral health services at the Pima County adult and juvenile detention centers. In addition, the department oversees the county’s legally mandated functions involving court ordered evaluations and the Restoration to Competency Program.

JW Marriott Starr Pass appoints Ramon Delgado
Ramon Delgado has been appointed senior sous chef in banquets at JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa.
Delgado brings more than 25 years of experience to Starr Pass Resort & Spa, and was most recently the executive sous chef at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa. Prior to that, Delgado was the executive chef of Desert Diamond Casinos for more than 10 years. He has held similar positions at Marriott’s Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, California, as well as Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, the Lodge at Ventana Canyon and Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch, all located in Tucson.

Isenberger has returned to his roots in Tucson and brought a wealth of experience to 5151. Recently, he oversaw a corporate campus for a Fortune 500 company. He is a long-time Building Owners and Managers Association member, both chairing and vice-chairing the Westside and San Fernando Valley Regional Councils, and is a past member of the BOMA Greater Los Angeles Political Affairs Committee. Isenberger degrees in journalism and political science from the UA. He holds real estate licenses in both Arizona and California.
