Fire chief Chuck Ryan . 

The City of Tucson announced the selection of Charles “Chuck” Ryan as the 28th Fire Chief of the Tucson Fire Department. He will begin his role Sept. 30.

Ryan has worked in the fire service since 1994, and is joining TFD having most recently served as an assistant fire chief with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. In this role, Ryan led the department’s Business Services Bureau. 

Chief Ryan will be taking on the leadership and management of the 32nd busiest department in the country and the second largest department in the State of Arizona.
