Yes, corporate packages to the Accenture Match Play Championship are sold out. But there are still plenty of daily tickets to the event’s inaugural here and they’re not “priced beyond reach,” say the Tucson Conquistadore’s.

The reality is there are still plenty of weekday tickets on sale now through the Conquistadores, priced at $30 each day for practice rounds Feb. 19 and 20, and $50 each day for the first rounds of competition Feb. 21, 22 and 23. On top of that, the Conquistadores want say they have an even better deal on multiple-ticket packages, including one called the Championship Club Package that includes four tickets for each day at an average price of less than $45 and it includes some perks. There are no individual tickets available for Saturday and Sunday rounds (Feb. 24 and 25) but the Championship package does include tickets for those days.

The Conquistadores are the host volunteers to the top 64 professionals coming for the World Golf Championships’ Match Play Championship, to be played at the The Gallery Golf Club, 14000 N. Dove Mountain Blvd., Marana. Money they raise from the sale of tickets goes to support local youth athletics. If they sell all available tickets, they could earn as $2 million for charity.

“The businesses and citizens of Southern Arizona have supported us and the youth programs we serve for over 40 years,” said John Belton, tournament chairman for the Conquistadores. “The ability to make a difference in the lives of our kids and help bring one of the most prestigious and enjoyable golf events to our community is a win-win.” The event is also expected to bring $100 million in economic impact to the community.*
