Catalina Village

Catalina Village, an assisted-living complex and low-income residence, recently completed upgrades thanks to the Tucson Industrial Development Authority. 

Efforts by the Tucson Industrial Development Authority recently allowed Catalina Village, an assisted-living complex serving senior and low-income residents with special needs, to complete a 17-year project to rehabilitate its 107 residential units and build a new kitchen, dining hall and activity center.

Tucson IDA issued bonds three times since 2000 to purchase the facility, finance the improvement project and help restructure debt incurred when the facility was purchased the same year. 

“The Tucson Industrial Development Authority is honored to assist Catalina Village,” said Tucson IDA Acting President Larry Lucero. “The dedicated staff, counselors and medical experts offer assistance and help increase independence for their residents, providing an invaluable service to our community.”

E. 34th St., LLC purchased 29,525 square feet located at 3785 E. 34th Street from 34th Street Penguins, LLC, 34th Street Investment Partners, LLC, and Gayle Brickman for $1,665,000. Stephen D. Covenant Generations Church purchased 30,532 square feet located at 651 S. Kolb Road from Palo Verde Church of Christ Corp. for $1,350,000. Rob Tomlinson, Stephen D. Cohen and Russell W. Hall, SIOR, GSCS with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR handled the transaction.

Robert Lee Conser, Gregory Paul Conser & Madelyn Patrice Conser Trust purchased 14.84 acres of land located at Interstate 10 and Twin Peaks Road from Continental Ranch Development, LLC for $1 million. Lori Carroll & Associates selected as interior design firm for Grande Vita project

University of Arizona graduate and Tucson resident, Lori Carroll, and her award-winning team have been chosen as the lead interior designers for the $300 million Grande Vita assisted living facility in Mesa. 

Groundbreaking for Grande Vita will take place on May 21. There is a Residence Inn on the campus that has already been built and will unveiled to the public in early May. That extended stay hotel will open to the public in May of 2019, just ahead of the official ground breaking on the campus.
