5151 Broadway building

Now at 88 percent capacity, the iconic 5151 Broadway building will soon be home to PICOR Commercial Real Estate Services’ new offices. 

After 20 years in its current eastside location, PICOR Commercial Real Estate Services will relocate to 5151 E. Broadway Blvd. Ste. 115, in January, 2018. Operating as Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, the company signed a 10-year lease for 10,597 square feet in the single-story offices located at the northeast corner of Broadway and Rosemont Boulevards, formerly occupied by Tucson College. The lease represents an expansion of 3,000 square feet and positions the firm for future growth.

 “We’re building on our 32-year history in Tucson to create a dynamic, collaborative office space consistent with the vibrant activity in southern Arizona’s economy,” said Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR President Barbi Reuter, in a release. “As an employee-owned service company, we’ve chosen 5151 E. Broadway for its iconic identity, ease of access for clients and employees, and proximity to submarkets across the city.  We look forward to strengthening our already close collaboration with building ownership.”

Owned by Kent Circle Partners, managed by Seldin Real Estate, the building’s occupancy has increased to 88 percent. Kent Circle Partners hired Intertech Architectural Interiors to design the space, Epstein Construction for the build-out, and Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR brought Atmosphere Commercial Interiors and Linda Robinson Design on board for furnishings and interiors. Sales and leases

Ignite Fitness, L.L.C. leased 2,800 square feet at 4613 E. Speedway Blvd.  from Brazo, L.L.C. Jeramy Price of  Volk Company represented the tenant.

Presson P.V. Eleven, LLC purchased three industrial buildings, totaling 41,350 square feet, located at 1601 and 1607 S. Pantano Road; 1603 S. Eastside Loop and 1635 S. Research Loop from Buxton-Smith, Ltd. for $2,150,000. Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR handled this transaction. Rob Glaser, SIOR, CCIM, represented the buyer and Ron Zimmerman represented the seller.

Rodney and Nelly Gonzalez purchased Dunton Apartments, a 6-unit complex, located at 6300-6314 E. Dunton Ave. from Wilson, Wilson & Wilson for $350,000. The Multifamily team of Allan Mendelsberg and Daniel Leibsohn, with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, handled the transaction.  

Otoland Investments, LLC purchased approximately 1.51 acres of vacant land located at 1358 W. Orange Grove Road from First Credit Union for $333,333. Tom Nieman with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR represented the seller and John Yarborough with Romano Real Estate Corporation represented the buyer.

Dr. Santiago Ramirez purchased a 4,014 square feet office building at 3945 Fort Lowell in the Puente Nuevo Plaza. David Montijo and Damian Wilkinson of CBRE represented the buyer in the transaction. The Purchase price was $680,887. 

DHAN Management purchased a 2,490-square-foot fast food building at 4352 E. Speedway Blvd. for $730,000 from Speedway Properties LLC. Bryan Ledbetter of Western Retail Advisors represented the buyer and Michael Laatsch of CBRE represented the seller.

Machine Solutions, Inc. leased 18,779 square feet of industrial space at 3440 Britannia Drive in the Britannia Business Center from Britannia Tucson, LLC. Ryan Timpani of Colliers International represented the tenant and Bill DiVito and Jesse Blum of CBRE represented the landlord.

HM Management LLC leased 1,116 square feet of office space at 5055 E. Broadway Blvd. from in the New World Plaza from Pacific Income Properties, LLC. David Volk of CBRE represented the tenant and David Montijo and Damian Wilkinson of CBRE represented the landlord.

Three Wells Distilling Company leased 844 square feet of retail space 13 N. Stone Ave. from BC Limited, LLC. Michael Laatsch of CBRE represented the tenant and the landlord.

Convergys Customer Management Group Inc. renewed its lease with North Tucson, LLC for 91,200 square feet at 2350 W. River Park Drive. Stephen D. Cohen and Russell W. Hall, SIOR, GSCS, with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord.  

Mural Consulting Corporation leased 20,000 square feet at 1455 W. River Road from 1455 W. River Road, LLC. Rick Kleiner, MBA, and Greg Furrier, with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord and Buzz Isaacson with CBRE represented the tenant.

Wist Supply & Equipment Co. leased 6,230 square feet at 4175 S. Fremont Ave., Ste. 107 from Doubletree Investments, Inc. Stephen D. Cohen and Russell W. Hall, SIOR, GSCS with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord in this transaction and Ken McQueen with Lee & Associates Arizona Commercial Real Estate Services represented the tenant.  

Titan Solar Power leased 5,000 square feet at 3251 S. Dodge Blvd. in Tucson, from El Gato Investment Two, LLC. The team of Russell W. Hall, SIOR, GSCS, Stephen D. Cohen, and Kelly Fickle, Industrial Specialists with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord in this transaction.  Larry Beddome, CCIM with Keller Williams Success Realty, represented the tenant. 

Cognition Engineering, LLC subleased 4,952 square feet at 3757 E. 43rd Place from Feller’s, Inc.   Russell W. Hall, SIOR, GSCS and Stephen D. Cohen, with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord and Tim Healy with CBRE, Inc. represented the tenant. 

American Financial Network, Inc. leased 3,926 square feet of office space located at 1640 E. River Road, Ste. 208, in the Mesquite Corporate Center from George Caughman. Tom Nieman with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR represented the landlord and David Montijo with CBRE, Inc. represented the tenant.

Flash Ventures, LLC dba: Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women leased 1,950 square feet at 3400 E. Speedway Blvd., Ste. 116-118 from Rancho Center, LLC. Debbie Heslop, CCIM, of Volk Company represented the landlord and Mike Leonard of Catalyst Commercial Group represented the tenant.

West Coast Capital Partners purchased a 46,094-square-foot office building and an adjacent ±3.5 acre parcel of vacant land located at 2255-2277 W. Ina Road in the Sierra Bravo Center from Sierra Bravo Properties, LLC for $3,000,000. Jeff Casper and Buzz Isaacson of CBRE represented the buyer and the seller. 

Yen Tran purchased a 5,720 square foot Assisted Living facility located at 750-820 E. Foothills Drive Hospice Properties II for $900,000. Ian Stuart of CBRE represented the seller. 

Stella Java, LLC purchased the 8,637-square-foot industrial building located at 960 E. 17th St. for $500,000. David Volk and Jon Ash of CBRE represented the seller. 

Flowers-Rieger, PLLC purchased a 2,460-square-foot office building located at 6125 E. Grant Road from Wisconsin 1941 for $305,000. Mark Irvin Co. represented the buyer and David Volk of CBRE represented the seller. 

Caridad Community Kitchen celebrates increase in space and service to the community.

Caridad Community Kitchen celebrated its newly expanded facility with a grand opening last Wednesday, Oct. 18. The expansion marked a huge step forward for the Caridad Culinary Training program, which teaches individuals new culinary job skills, confidence and expertise to get ahead in the job market. Students in this program will now prepare free community meals in a commercial kitchen equipped for expanded production. 

The number of meals prepared at Caridad will jump from 168,000 a year to 500,000 annually. This includes after-school dinners for children and meals for seniors and the homeless.

Caridad Community Kitchen is a program of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Caridad, Spanish for charity, has touched the lives of countless people for more than 15 years. Featuring a feeding program at congregate meal sites, a 10-week culinary training program for unemployed and underemployed individuals, and a catering service, Caridad is built on the principle that hunger in our community can be solved in many ways.
